4 Wheels driving school network
Mobile app and admin panel
for the 4 Wheels driving school network in Saint Petersburg
The task:

4 Wheels, a driving school network from Saint Petersburg, asked us to digitize theory training for category B with a mobile app and an admin panel.

The goal was to give students easy access to learning materials: video lessons, lectures, traffic rules tests and progress tracking.

It was also important to provide two access levels (trial and paid), built-in support and an admin panel for school staff.

📌 The app is available on the App Store and Google Play

Development stages
  • Discovery, analysis and technical specification
Goal of the stage: gather all the client's wishes and turn them into clear, formal technical requirements.

    Team: project manager and analyst.

Together with the client we built the structure of the future product: what students should see, what access levels exist, how testing is organized, how support works and what the admin panel needs.

We described the behavior of all key flows: sign-in, video viewing, tests, the progress system, support and user roles.
Everything was recorded in the technical specification, and the architecture and business logic were agreed.
    01
  • Prototyping and UI/UX design
Goal of the stage: create a clear, adaptive interface for the mobile app and admin panel.

    Team: project manager and designer.

We designed over 50 mobile app screens covering the whole user journey, from sign-in and video viewing to tests, progress, mistakes and achievements.

We worked out separate UX flows for support, access errors, course completion and other states.

We also designed the admin panel in desktop and mobile versions: sign-in, user list, filtering, editing, access and blocking management.

The emphasis was on easy reading, clear navigation and as few actions as possible for students and school staff.
    02
  • Development and integrations
Goal of the stage: build all the features of the app and admin panel with an emphasis on stability and convenience.

    Team:
    – lead developer (architecture),
    – Flutter developer (frontend),
    – Python developer (backend/API),
    – QA engineer (testing),
    – project manager.

Development ran in iterations: after each micro-stage the client received working builds for iOS and Android to follow progress and make changes.
Each build passed QA before being sent.

    Mobile app features:
    – Sign-in and registration
    – Online training for category B
    – Video lessons and text lectures
    – Traffic rules tests
    – Two access levels:
    trial (3 lessons),
paid (after purchase offline at the school)
    – Support chat
    – Achievements and progress system
    – Personal account (student profile)

    Admin panel for the school:
    – User management: viewing, editing, deleting
    – Access management
    – Searching and filtering students by parameters
    – Desktop and mobile versions
    03
  • Final testing
Goal of the stage: check the app on different devices and flows before release.

Team: QA engineer, project manager and developers.

    We checked:
    – sign-in,
    – correct display of lectures and video,
    – tests,
    – progress and achievements,
    – admin panel stability.

All bugs found were fixed before release to the stores.
    04
  • App store publication
Goal of the stage: release the app and make it available to all students.

Team: project manager and Flutter developer.

We prepared all the materials: screenshots, description, keywords and release builds. The app passed moderation and was published on the App Store and Google Play.

    05
  • Project support
Goal of the stage: support the launch and respond to user feedback.

For the first month after release we provided free technical support: fixing bugs, making improvements and helping the school adopt the product.

Later the client came back several times to add new features to the app and admin panel.
    06
  • Result
The app became a practical tool for learning traffic rules remotely and preparing for the exam. Students get convenient access to the course, can track their progress and return to materials at any time.

The admin side simplified monitoring of training, reduced the time spent working with users and structured the school's internal processes.

The 4 Wheels project is a clear example of how a mobile app can become a full educational platform and replace offline processes.

We focused not only on features but also on making the app truly convenient for both students and school staff.

We worked closely with the client, found solutions quickly and adapted the product to real processes. The result is a simple, stable and practical product.

On behalf of the driving school, I want to thank EVO Mobile. The team built an app for our students from scratch, end to end – precisely and on time.

They created a pleasant working atmosphere and took a responsible approach to the work.

EVO Mobile are professionals who know many of the pitfalls, suggested ideas for the app themselves and were always in touch.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
